Demolish & Rebuild

Demolish & Rebuild

Demolish & Rebuild

Demolish and build is the construction equivalent of out with the old and in with the new. It focuses on the demolishment of either parts of a house or the whole house in favour for a newly designed home. Demolish and build provides the home owner with a fresh canvas to do with as they please.

Why choose to demolish and rebuild?

Sometimes you find the perfect place that you want to live; close to schools, work, shops or even family but the house does not match the dream. Even if it is your home which is being knocked down in place of something better, knocking the house down and starting from nothing may be the best choice. Demolishing and building a new home can get your perfect house in your perfect location with a simple swing of a bulldozer.

The cost efficiency of demolishing and rebuilding a house can be too great to simply ignore. The demolishment of a house can prevent the need to pay stamp duty (land transfers duty) when the house is not what you genuinely want but the land is. Finding the house in a location that is perfect for you can be tricky especially when the house is not all that you want it to be. Sometimes the renovations to the house cost more than the house itself and does not. Choosing to demolish the house removed this issue and leaves an empty lot for plans and room for a vision to come to life.

Demolishing a house is not always a matter of not liking what is there currently and can come down to safety. Buying a house which is a safety risk for the lot of land it is located on, leaves only the option of demolishment. Choosing to demolish a safety risk and build something you genuinely want is the best of both worlds; you get to keep the land and to build the house that you dreamed of.

Important Points to Remember

There are many complex tasks to be completed and researched before you think about home design and project management, to ensure the task is manageable. Dream Nest is here to help guide you through this process, so you don't miss a thing.

Every residential lot is governed by certain laws and regulations that limit what can be built on that land. Therefore it’s important to the the design requirements before buying land.

It is important to give consideration to the site of the land. There can be unexpected costs to do extra site works if the site conditions are not kept in mind while buying the land. For developments, there could also be fees or infrastructure contributions to the local or state government agencies- that must be checked beforehand.

Our clients are always encouraged to ask as many questions as possible. The more questions are asked, the less the chance of missing out on any important information.
